We use natural language processing on real AI-powered conversations to see which brands consistently appear in your orbit and apply evidenced-weighted consensus modeling to separate real signals from noise.
The result? A high-confidence, data-backed map of your true competitors (and emerging challengers) in AI search.
When you log in to Scrunch, you’ll see Suggested Competitors under Insights & Action Items at the top of your Dashboard.

Simply click the item to see a list of brands you may want to track in Scrunch, including high-level descriptions and all known aliases.

You can review and either add brands to your competitor list or dismiss the suggestion (we’ll continue to monitor and suggest new competitors over time as more prompts and responses are added and collected).

If you do the former, we’ll backfill each competitor’s brand presence for your prompt data to give you a historical view.
Bonus: This works for all new competitor additions, not just Suggested Competitors. Any time you add a new competitor to Scrunch, we’ll automatically calculate their presence across historical prompt data (the lookback window is as far back as you have prompt data).
This includes competitor presence across AI search trends.
Using Scrunch’s AI Search Trends feature, you can compare how often your brand appears versus your competitors across prompts for industry-relevant topics, aggregated across all selected LLMs.

With all this data in hand, you can:
- Benchmark your performance: See how your brand presence and site citations compare to competitors across industry topics. Are you gaining or losing ground?
